Excel EAN-13 Add-In Size Setting

Excel EAN-13 Add-In Size Setting allows easy integration to set the size of EAN-13 Bar Width, Image Width and Bar Height and Image Height. You may adjust these properties during your generating EAN-13 procedure.

Excel EAN-13 Bar Width Setting - Minimum X

Excel EAN-13 Bar Width is the width of the generated EAN-13 narrow bar when using Excel EAN-13 Add-In. You may set the below properties to set minimum bar width(X):

1. Set the barcode type: EAN-13

2. Set the data: 123456654321

3. Set the Bar Width: 2

4. Customize the other properties.

The generated EAN-13 image will be like this:

If two or five digits are needed adding to EAN-8, you can set Supplement Data:

1. Set the barcode type: EAN-8

2. Set the data: 123456654321

3. Set the Supplement Data: 22

4. Set the Bar Width: 2

5. Customize the other properties.

Excel EAN-13 Image Width Setting - Fixed W

Excel EAN-13 Image Width is the Width of the created EAN-13 image when using EAN-13 Excel Add-In. You may set the following properties to adjust a fixed image width(W):

1. Set the barcode type: EAN-13

2. Set the data: 987654321021

3. Set the Image Width: 110

4. Customize the other properties.

The generated EAN-13 image will be like this:

If two or five digits are needed adding to EAN-8, you can set Supplement Data:

1. Set the barcode type: EAN-8

2. Set the data: 7654321

3. Set the Supplement Data: 11

Excel EAN-13 Bar Width & Image Width Setting

EAN-13 Excel Add-In allows setting the bar width and image width at the same time.

1. Set the barcode type: EAN-13

2. Set the data:121212121212

3. Set the Bar Width: 2

4. Set the Image Width: 160

5. Customize the other properties.

The generated EAN-13 image will be like this:

Note that Onbarcode Excel EAN-13 Generator will automatically generate a EAN-13 image with a minimum Image Width when a fixed X is set. In this case, there are two situations:

1. If you set a image width value, which is less than the minimum image width, the generated image width will be the minimum Image Width. When it occurs, see Excel EAN-13 Bar Width Setting - Minimum X and Excel EAN-13 Image Width Setting - Fixed W.

2. If you set a image width value, which is more than the minimum image width, Excel Add-in will fill the difference with left and right margins generated automatically.

Excel EAN-13 Bar Height Setting

The height of EAN-13 barcode image is made up by the width of the following five parts:

Top Margin

Bar Height

Text Margin

Text Height

Bottom Margin

The height of barcode image is difficult to make sure, because the height of the text differs when font size and style changed. Even though, the image height should be 5 mm or 15% of the image width.
