Pipelines allow you to manipulate XML messages so that they may be transformed into useable documents. In this exercise, we need to transform the outgoing XML message so that it can be opened with the appropriate InfoPath form. This will allow you to review the processing results directly in InfoPath. Follow these steps to create a new pipeline: 1. In Visual Studio .NET, select Project Add New Item from the main menu. 2. In the Add New Item dialog, select to add a new Send Pipeline. 3. Once the project is saved, you are ready to build and deploy the solution. In order to deploy the solution, you will need to provide strong names for the assemblies. I am assuming that you either have an existing key or know how to generate a key pair since we have used many strongly named assemblies throughout this book. Follow these steps to build and deploy the solution: 1. In the solution explorer, right-click the BTS Pen Request project and select Properties from the context menu. 2. In the Property Pages dialog, select the Assembly node underneath the Common Properties folder. 3. Click on the Assembly Key File field and enter the complete path to the key file you will use for this project. 4. Click the OK button to save your changes. 5. In Visual Studio .NET, select Deployment from the Configuration drop-down list on the main toolbar. 6. Select Build Build Solution to compile the project. 7. Once the project has compiled successfully, select Build Deploy Solution to deploy the project to BizTalk Server 2004.

Because the WSS Adapter is a custom adapter, it cannot be directly configured in the orchestration project. Instead the ports must be configured after the project is deployed. In this section, you will connect the ports to the Document Libraries that you created earlier. Follow these steps to configure the send and receive ports: 1. In Visual Studio .NET, select View BizTalk Explorer from the main menu. 2. In the BizTalk Explorer, right-click the BizTalk Configuration Databases node and select Refresh from the context menu. 3. Expand the tree until the Receive Ports folder is visible. 4. Right-click the Receive Ports folder and select Add Receive Port from the context menu. 5. In the Create New Receive Port dialog, specify One-Way Port as the port type and click the OK button. 6. In the One-Way Receive Port Properties dialog, enter Port_Receive_InfoPath_Pen_Request as the Name and click the OK button. 7. In the BizTalk Explorer, locate the new port and expand the node to reveal the Receive Locations folder. 8. Right-click the Receive Locations folder and select Add Receive Location from the context menu. 9. In the Receive Location Properties dialog, type Receive_Location_Submitted_Library as the Name. 10. Select WSSLib from the drop-down list associated with the Transport Type property. 11. Click the ellipsis associated with the Address (URI) property. 12. In the WSSLib Transport Properties dialog, set the Site Address URL property to point to the subsite you created earlier for this exercise. 13. Set the Site Folder Name property to Submitted. 14. Click OK to save your changes 15. In the Receive Location Properties dialog, select BizTalkServerApplication from the drop-down list associated with the Receive Handler property. 16. Select Microsoft.BizTalk.KwTpm.StsDefaultPipelines.StsReceivePipeline from the drop-down list associated with the Receive Pipeline property. 17. Click OK to close the dialog and save your changes. 18. Right-click the Send Ports folder and select Add Send Port from the context menu. 19. In the Create New Send Port dialog, specify Static One-Way Port as the port type and click the OK button.
