In this recipe, we didn t look at how to re-create the serialized object. This is because to do so only requires passing the buffer to the eval statement and assigning the results of eval to a variable. Serialization has many different contexts. To have type information, you need to extract it and then store it somewhere. Remember that JavaScript is a prototype-based programming language, and JavaScript types are different in concept when compared to types in languages like C# and Java. This recipe s serialization techniques show how to define an algorithm that uses code blocks to separate a general iteration code block from a specific context code block.
