The BlackBerry will play most types of music files. If you are an iPod user, all music except the music that you purchased on iTunes should be able to play on the BlackBerry. Sometimes you can use software to help play music your BlackBerry couldn t otherwise play out-of-the-box. For example, if you burn your iTunes tracks to a CD (make a new playlist in iTunes, copy your iTunes tracks, and then burn that playlist), Roxio Media Manager can convert these tracks to play on the BlackBerry. The most common audio/music formats supported on the BlackBerry include the following: ACC: Audio compression formats AAC

Streaming Music
One of the amazing things about the BlackBerry is just how powerful it can be as a media center. Using a Bluetooth stereo in your car, you can stream your music via Bluetooth right through your car stereo. To stream stereo music via Bluetooth, just pair your BlackBerry with a Bluetooth music source, as described on Page 451. Also, ensure that the Bluetooth device supports the Bluetooth Stereo Audio format (sometimes called A2DP). You should also ensure that your BlackBerry is connected to a stereo music player or use the BlackBerry Remote Stereo Gateway utility mentioned on page 459. If you meet these criteria, you can simply follow the steps for playing your music described earlier in this chapter.
Streaming Free Internet Radio
Internet radio is a great way to listen to music on the go. There are several applications that allow you to set up and listen to streaming Internet radio, including several great free applications for the BlackBerry. All these applications work well. The two most popular are Pandora and Slacker Radio, both of which you can find on the BlackBerry App World site. Just set up your account, specify the type of music you like and you should be Streaming Internet Radio in minutes.
