Holidays are marked in red. Only days with an entry are displayed on the mobile calendar. Limited settings can be altered through the Calendar Settings option. E-mail notifications of events and entries are sent to you as reminders.

NOTE: Google Calendar is available in various languages. However, a switch in language requires alterations in the Settings of the main Google Calendar on the computer. To do so, log onto http://www.google.com/calendar from your computer using your user id and password and change the language from the Settings section.

If you would like to download this application separately, you can do so by visiting http://m.google.com/news from your mobile phones browser. When you launch the News application, your phone takes you to the news home page through your browser. Here you can search based on key words and phrases as well as surf the news in general. The news pieces are displayed by headline and a two line beginning to the story (see Figure 11 11). Select a particular news item (headline) to get the full article. You also have listed the number of related articles to that particular story. Thus all major information associated with an event is now at your disposal.

The Cherry on the Sundae
The Select Edition option gives you the flexibility to choose which location-specific event information you would like to receive, i.e., UK, USA, India, or China. The Sections feature gives you the power to choose your topics of interest and displays news, as shown in Figure 11 12.

Add Section gives you the option to add as many customized sections as you would want, based on key words decided by you. Organize Sections helps you to prioritize between these chosen sections where you can delete as well as rearrange the order of the fragments, as illustrated in Figure 11 13.
