Charts are unique among solution components in that they allow you (or users with the correct privileges) to export and import individual charts into the Microsoft Dynamics CRM system. When you export a chart, Microsoft Dynamics CRM creates an XML file that can be imported into another Microsoft Dynamics CRM system without the overhead of a full solution file. You could use the exported chart as a template for other charts, edit the chart with your own styling or custom code, or use this exported file as a backup for a chart, should you or someone else accidentally remove the chart from your system.
