13. In the Change Secret dialog box, click OK. 14. In the Add RADIUS Server dialog box, click OK. 15. In the RADIUS Authentication dialog box, click OK. 16. In the COMPUTER1 (Local) Properties dialog box, select RADIUS Accounting from the Accounting Provider drop-down list box. This setting moves remote access logging to the RADIUS server. Repeat steps 8-15 to configure the RADIUS Accounting server. 17. In the COMPUTER1 (Local) Properties dialog box, click OK. A message box indicates that to use the new authentication provider, you must restart Routing And Remote Access. 18. Click OK. Exercise 2: Configuring the RADIUS Server
In this exercise, you configure the Internet Authentication Service on Computer1 to communicate with the RADIUS client you have already configured. 1. From Computer1, log on to Domain1 as Administrator if you have not already done so. 2. Click Start, select Administrative Tools, and then click Internet Authentication Service. The Internet Authentication Service console opens. 3. While the Internet Authentication Service (Local) icon is selected in the console tree, click the Action menu. Notice the Register Server In Active Directory command on the menu. In general, RADIUS servers performing authentication for a domain need to be registered in Active Directory. However, because this computer is also a domain controller, it has been registered in Active Directory automatically. 4. In the console tree, select the Remote Access Policies folder. Note that the policies listed in the details pane are the same as those configured for Routing And Remote Access on the local machine.

5. In the console tree, right-click RADIUS Clients, and then click New RADIUS Client. The Name And Address page of the New RADIUS Client Wizard appears. 6. In the Friendly Name text box, type Local NAS. 7. In the Client Address text box, type 192.168.0.1. 8. Click Next. The Additional Information page appears. 9. In the Shared Secret text box and the Confirm Shared Secret text box, type the strong password you used in step 12 of Exercise 1, Configuring the RADIUS Client. 10. Leave the default of RADIUS Standard as the Client-Vendor setting, and click Finish. 11. Close the Internet Authentication Service console, and log off Computer1.
