In this case, you must really generate a blank space for value_if_false of the IF formula and not empty text, which would be sufficient in other cases . Reason: these blank spaces are required to ensure exact, column-oriented scaling also in the second label line for the category axis label . Explore how it would look like if the blank spaces are not used: remove the blank space between the quotation marks at the end of the formula . The IF formula used here is nested three times . Horizontal Scales
On the Companion CD Open the file \Samples\ 0902_Scale01.xlsx on the CD-ROM . Open the Scale 1 worksheet (excerpts are shown in Figure 9-8) in the 0902_Scale01.xlsx file . Each time you press F9, the red scale pointers in the green bars move to a different position and indicate the percentage of a default value (which is not of interest here) that has been reached in the respective city . You can also follow the information there, as it provides a better overview . Naturally, in a real-life report model of this kind, there are fixed value constellations . The dynamics of such solutions would be, for example, that you use controls to call different survey topics and their results . However, in this example, this option is simulated with F9 for testing purposes . Additionally, you can customize the initial situation and the value constellations in the chart data source as you like . You should note:
It is a 100% Stacked Bar chart . A specific portion of a default value (specified in column G) is reached . This result is displayed with a red mark in percentages . The chart has three data series, each stacked bar consists of three segments:
