allowDoubleEscaping, which, when set to the default false , decodes requested URLs once, and then again. If the first decoding differs from the second encoding, the request is rejected. Set to true if you need this feature disabled. allowHighBitCharacters, which you set to true (the default) if your URLs use characters in the ASCII range 127-255 and false to deny requests featuring characters in that range. Most of these characters are graphics characters or accented characters from character sets outside of English. In an English-only environment, bona fide requests to your site are not likely to use characters in this range, and denying them may prevent possible abuse of your site. Even in a non-English or mixed environment, you may find characters in URLs that are in the range of 32-127, and disallowing high-bit characters may be a worthwhile setting to make. fileExtensions is a collection that a server manager may add to, remove from, or clear. The fileExtensions collection has two attributes:

allowUnlisted, which you can set to true (the default) to use the file extension list as a set of dangerous file extensions that you do not want users to request, or to false to deny everything but known good file extensions. It is generally good security practice to do the latter, so we recommend setting this to false and building a list of extensions that match files that your server will legitimately offer to users.

maxAllowedContentLength is the maximum content length, in bytes, that can be requested. This prevents the possibility that a request could produce so much output that it overwhelms either your server or a client s computer. Defaults to 30000000. maxURL is the maximum size URL in bytes that will be passed to the application. This prevents buffer overruns in IIS or its hosted applications by a client that sends a maliciously long URL. Defaults to 4096. maxQueryString is the maximum size in bytes of a query string, the portion of a URL beyond the character. Defaults to 2048. headerLimits is a collection whose elements have two attributes: header and sizeLimit.header is the name of the HTTP request header being limited, and sizeLimit is the maximum number of bytes that can be supplied as the value for that header.
verbs is a collection of HTTP request verbs that are allowed or denied. The attributes for the verbs element are:
allowUnlisted, which you set to true (the default) to allow HTTP command verbs other than those listed as denied and false to allow only those HTTP command verbs specifically listed. applyToWebDAV, which you set to true (the default) to apply the restriction in verbs to WebDAV.
Verbs can be added, removed, or cleared from this collection. Each element in the verb collection has two elements:
verb, which is the name of the verb being described. The most used verb is GET, which you will almost certainly want to allow. For forms to operate, you will generally also need to allow POST. A list of common applications and the required verbs for them is available at http://support.microsoft.com/kb/823175. allowed is set to true (the default) if you want to allow this verb; false if you want to reject it.
