You are working with a user named Ariane. Ariane s computer is configured to run a normal backup of her data each Saturday and to run an incremental backup every other evening. Backups are stored on a network file server. You are troubleshooting an intermittent hardware error on Ariane s computer. Before you begin troubleshooting, you want to create a backup of Ariane s data. Which type of backup should you perform to ensure that you do not interfere with the regular nightly backups already scheduled on Andrew s computer Denso QR Bar Code Maker In VS .NET Using Barcode generation for ASP.NET Control to generate, create QR image in ASP.NET applications. www.OnBarcode.comQR Code Drawer In Visual Studio .NET Using Barcode printer for .NET Control to generate, create QR Code 2d barcode image in .NET applications. www.OnBarcode.comYou should perform a copy backup on Ariane s computer. Because different environments have varying needs during deployment, Windows XP provides several different deployment methods. Home users and small businesses need a quick, user-friendly installation procedure. For these users, an attended installation is the most efficient. Enterprises might need to deploy hundreds or thousands of computers at a time, while minimizing the cost of that deployment. Computer manufacturers often build thousands of Windows XP Professional computers every day, with dozens of different hardware and software configurations. For these users, Windows XP provides several different unattended installation technologies, including Remote Installation Services (RIS), the System Preparation Tool (Sysprep.exe), and unattended answer files. Upgrade scenarios are even more varied than new installation scenarios. As with new installations, many users need to upgrade many computers as efficiently as possible. There are two additional levels of complexity, however. Computers might have one of several different operating systems, including Windows NT Workstation 4.0, Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows Me, and Windows 2000 Professional. Additionally, users have documents, applications, and customized settings that they need access to after the upgrade has been completed. The vast majority of new installations and upgrades complete without problems. However, when things do go wrong, you must understand how to resolve installation problems. Your job is not done when you complete the installation or upgrade of Windows XP, either. You must activate Windows XP, apply a service pack (or packs), and install critical updates to reduce the risk of security vulnerabilities or other problems. This objective domain assesses your ability to prepare for and perform both attended (that is, manual) and unattended (automated) installations. You must determine whether existing operating systems and applications will be upgraded or will be removed and replaced with new installations. There are several methods for automated installations of Windows XP Professional, and you must be familiar with them all. Your ability to deploy service packs, diagnose installation failures, and correct installation failures will also be assessed. You will do a number of case studies that check your ability to identify the appropriate installation method when presented with detailed information about various computing environments. You will also need to understand the difference between activation and registration of Windows XP Professional and how to complete the activation process through all available methods.
