The report summary database contains the report information created daily from the ISA Server log files. Every day, an application called Dailysum.exe summarizes the Web proxy and Firewall service log information. Two log summaries are saved; one with a daily summary and one with a monthly summary. At the beginning of each month, Dailysum.exe creates another monthly summary that summarizes all the past month s daily summaries. By default, daily and monthly log summaries are generated automatically at 12:30 A.M. You can change these parameters to fit your organization s needs. To configure the log summary database settings, complete the following procedure: 1. In ISA Server Management Console, click Monitoring. 2. Click the Reports tab. 3. In the Task pane, scroll to the Related Tasks section and then click Configure Log Summary. 4. The Log Summary Properties dialog box, shown in Figure 11-14, contains the options listed in Table 11-9.

How to Generate a Report
You can generate a new report at any time using the ISA Server Management console. When you generate a new report, ISA Server displays the information that you select from the summary logs.
Exam Tip Because ISA Server reports are based on the log summary information, any information that is added to the logs after the log summary is created is not included in the report. By default, these log summaries are created at 12:30 A.M. daily. This means that the reports do not contain the current day s information.
To generate a new report, complete the following procedure: 1. In ISA Server Management Console, click Monitoring. 2. Click the Reports tab.
