Web Proxy Automatic Discovery (WPAD) significantly simplifies the process of configuring clients. Rather than having to specify proxy configuration manually, clients can receive their configuration automatically at startup. This is especially useful when you have a mobile workforce that might be moving from site to site, with each site having its own unique configuration. There are three aspects to preparing a successful WPAD deployment. The first is to configure DNS correctly by entering the appropriate new records. The second is to configure the DHCP server to provide information about WPAD to clients receiving automatic IP addressing information. The third aspect is to ensure that the ISA Server 2004 server is publishing this information so that clients can apply it to their configuration.

You are the security administrator for Contoso, Ltd. Contoso has a single-domain Windows Server 2003 functional-level forest. The domain name is contoso.internal and is served by an Active Directory Integrated Zone replicated to all domain controllers within the forest. Contoso has a single ISA Server 2004 computer. The IP address of the public interface of this computer resolves to the FQDN gateway.contoso.com. The IP address of the internal network interface of this computer resolves to the FQDN gate way.contoso.internal. You are currently in the process of configuring WPAD for all Windows clients located in the Contoso corporation domain. To do this you need to create the appropriate record in DNS. Which of the following steps should you take (Choose the correct answer.) A. On a DNS server that hosts the contoso.com zone, create an MX record for gate way.contoso.internal. B. On a DNS server that hosts the contoso.internal zone, create an MX record for gateway.contoso.com.

C. On a DNS server that hosts the contoso.com zone, create an alias named WPAD that points to gateway.contoso.com. D. On a DNS server that hosts the internal.contoso.com zone, create an alias named WPAD that points to gateway.internal.contoso.com. E. On a DNS server that hosts the contoso.internal zone, create an alias named WPAD that points to gateway.contoso.internal.
You are configuring the options on the Contoso DHCP server necessary to support WPAD. You have already configured DNS to support WPAD for the contoso.internal zone. Which of the following settings will you use in configuring setting up the predefined options for WPAD (Select all that apply.) A. Set the code to 250. B. Set the code to 252. C. Set the Data type to String and set the String to http://wpad.contoso.internal/ wpad.dat. D. Set the data type to Hex and set the Hex value to 7A69. E. Set the data type to Oct and set the Oct value to 75151.
Your ISA Server 2004 server has recently been configured to publish client configuration settings. DHCP and DNS have also been configured to support WPAD. Which of the following configuration settings can you make to a Windows XP Service Pack 2 computer with the Firewall Client installed so that it attempts to locate the ISA Server 2004 proxy and firewall automatically (Select all that apply.) A. Open the Firewall Client from the system tray. Select the Automatically Detect ISA Server radio button. Click Detect Now. Click OK. B. Edit the Common.ini file located in \Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Firewall Client 2004. Add the following line: Autodetection=1. C. Edit the Common.ini file located in \Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Firewall Client 2004. Add the following line: Autodetection=0. D.
