Coho Vineyard wants to integrate the Sales Department and the management team s mobile devices with the newly deployed Exchange Server 2007 infrastructure. They have asked you to assist them with the deployment of these devices. In the course of the deployment, you need to deal with the following questions and issues: 1. What requirements should the mobile phones purchased for Coho Vineyard meet 2. Which service should you configure to ensure that the phones are automatically set up with a minimum of user information 3. What steps can you take to protect data stored on mobile devices

Practice 1: Configuring Mobile Device Policies
Create a new Exchange ActiveSync mailbox policy and apply it to a new user account that you create using your own name.
Configure the Exchange ActiveSync mailbox policy so that it cannot be used to access Windows file or SharePoint servers. Configure the IMAP4 service to accept up to 6,000 simultaneous connections. Disable POP3 access for the user account that you create that has your own name.
Practice 2: Configuring Client Access Protocols
Take a Practice Test
The practice tests on this book s companion CD offer many options. For example, you can test yourself on just one exam objective, or you can test yourself on all the 70-236 certification exam content. You can set up the test so that it closely simulates the experience of taking a certification exam, or you can set it up in study mode so that you can look at the correct answers and explanations after you answer each question.

Policies and Public Folders
Polices are used to ensure that a particular aspect of Exchange configuration conforms to a specific set of standards. Policies can be used to ensure that all Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP) addresses share a standard format. Policies can also be used to ensure that all mobile devices require a password to be reentered after they have not been used for a certain amount of time. Multiple policies can be applied so that the configuration settings that apply to one group are quite different to those applied to another. This chapter examines how you can apply certain types of policies using Exchange Server 2007 to meet the requirements of all parts of your organization. As you learned in 4, Configuring Public Folders, the traditional functionality serviced by Exchange public folders is now better addressed through products such as SharePoint, which is included as an add-on component with Windows Server 2003 R2 and Windows Server 2008. Although many organizations have already made the transition to the new technology, there are still several important public folder management tools that you need to be aware of to successfully pass the 70-236 exam. These are covered in the second part of the chapter.
Exam objectives in this chapter:
