There are a few additional considerations when setting up a Live Meeting session: When setting up a Live Meeting connection (prior to the meeting), you have a link that you send to the presenter(s) and a different link that you send to the attendees. You also set up a conference call to support the audio portion of the Live Meeting session. You can either perform the call management or have Live Meeting operators assist you. If you are presenting developed content (such as content in the form of a Microsoft Of ce PowerPoint 2007 presentation), you upload the material to the Live Meeting server prior to the meeting and share it so that all other attendees can view the material.

After registering a Live Meeting session, you receive a URL to connect to a tutorial on the features of Live Meeting. When you go to this URL, you will be prompted with precon gured Name, Meeting ID, and Meeting Key elds, and you click Join Meeting to start the rst Live Meeting session. The site will attempt to detect the Windows-based Live Meeting console, and if it fails to detect the console, it will offer to use a Web-based console, let you install the Windows-based Live Meeting console, or run the existing Windows-based Live Meeting console. (If you have already installed the console, select this option.) Your rst Live Meeting session is prearranged with a brief slide-based tutorial on how the Windows-based Live Meeting console works. The console, shown in Figure 39-30, contains a standard Windows menu bar, a set of default toolbars, and a Resources pane on the left showing the current presentation, the current presenter(s), and the audience and audio information. To the right of the Resources pane is a pane that displays the thumbnail images of the content that is being presented, and a questions and answers area appears at the bottom of the console.
