Discussion Web Sites and Self-Registration You can configure the following settings on this tab: Title
Supply a name for the discussion group. This name will appear on article pages.
Directory
Name the folder in the Discussion Web Site that will contain the article pages. This name must be two to eight characters long and begin with an underscore. Use this section to control which fields appear in the table Table Of Contents Layout

Enter the names of one or more form elements, separated by spaces. Together, the contents of these fields will become the article s subject in the table of contents. Time Date
Select this check box if you want the table of contents to include the time the Web visitor submitted the article. Select this check box if you want the table of contents to include the date the Web visitor submitted the article. Remote Computer Name
User Name
Select this check box if you want the table of contents to include the name of the Web visitor who submitted each article. Caution
The user name will be blank unless you set the Discussion Web Site s permis sions to block anonymous access. To do so, choose Server from the FrontPage Tools menu, and then select Permissions. Order Newest To Oldest Select this check box to make new postings appear at the beginning of the table of contents. If this check box is cleared, new articles appear at the end. Specify the location of a Web page whose background color, background picture, and text colors will apply to all pages in the Discussion Web Site. Click to select the background and colors page from the current Web Site. Get Background And Colors From Page (Optional) Browse

Select this check box if you want the table of contents to include the name or IP address of the submitting Web visitor s computer. Whether you get the computer s name or IP address depends on the configuration of your Web server. If you get the name, it might serve to identify the Web visitor s organization. This tab controls the following properties: URL Of Header To Include
Specify the location of a page you want FrontPage to include as the header of each article, or click the Browse button to select the header page from the current Web site. URL Of Footer To Include
Specify the location of a page you want FrontPage to include as the footer of each article, or click Browse to select the footer page from the current Web site. Choose a format (or None) in each of the following drop-down lists: Date Format
Date And Time
Choose a date format to display the date the Web visitor submitted the article. Choose a time format to display the time the Web visitor submitted the article. Time Format
Additional Information To
Select either of the check boxes in this section to include the corresponding information about each article page: Remote Computer Name User Name
The name of the submitting Web visitor s computer.
The name of the Web visitor who submitted the article.
Discussion Web Sites and Self-Registration Figure 33-14 shows the Confirmation Page tab of the Options For Discussion Form Handler dialog box. Figure 33-14. The Confirmation Page tab optionally specifies a page that provides feedback to visitors who post discussion articles. This tab contains two input fields, namely: URL Of Confirmation Page
Specify the location of a page that provides feedback to Web visitors who post articles. If you leave this field blank, The discussion form handler will create a default page on the fly. For more information about confirmation pages, refer to Configuring Confirmation Page Options, on page 868. URL Of Validation Failure Page
This field is always dimmed fro the discussion form
handler. The Search facility is optional. If included, it uses the same Search facilities as any other Web Site. For more information about the FrontPage Search facility, refer to Using the Web Search Component, on page 733.
