To add, rename, or remove an existing extension:
1 Select the group that contains the extension or others like it. 2 Click the Modify Extension button above the Extensions list. This opens all the text in
that group of extensions to editing:
To add an extension, set the insertion point before or after any existing exten=
sion, and start typing. Make sure that a space separates each pair of extensions.
To rename an extension, set the insertion point within it, and type normally. To remove an extension, backspace over it, or select it and press the Delete key.
To delete an entire group of extensions, select the group, and then click the Delete Extension button above the Extensions list. To add an editor for an existing group of extensions:
1 Select the group of extensions that needs another editor. 2 Click the New Editor button above the Editors list. This displays an Open With dialog
box very similar to the one shown in Figure 44-5, except that fixed text replaces the Extension text box.
If the new editor you want appears in the Choose The Program You Want To
Use To Open This File list, select it, and click OK.
Otherwise, click the Browse For More button, locate the startup file for the
program you want, and then click OK. To remove an editor for an existing group of extensions, select that editor, and then click the Delete Editor button above the Editors list box.
Configuring FrontPage Options To designate a different editor as the default for a group of extensions:
1 Select the group of extensions with the wrong default editor. 2 In the Editors list, select the correct default editor. 3 Click the Make Default button.
To change the editors for one extension in a group, you must:
Click the New Extension button, and define one editor for the extension. Select your new entry in the Extensions list, and then click the New Editor button to define any additional editors.
The last option on the Configure Editors tab (Figure 44-4) is the Open Web Pages In The Office Application That Created Them check box. Leave this check box cleared if you want FrontPage to open all Web pages in the FrontPage Editor, regardless of which Office application created them. Select this check box if you want FrontPage to pass Web pages to the application originally used to create them.

Note
You can also see the download time in Design view; it appears at the bottom of the main FrontPage window, near the right edge of the status bar. Click the displayed download time to change the assumed connection speed. Display Gridlines When Viewing Reports Number Of Months Shown
