The Synchronize Database Wizard allows you to copy metadata and data from one server to another . This wizard is accessible via SQL Server Management Studio . Synchronizing databases can be useful when databases are spread across multiple servers for load-balancing purposes . The synchronization can be scripted and executed as part of a batch process . Additionally, the database remains available for queries during the synchronization . Because you can only synchronize databases between two different Analysis Services servers, this section does not include a step-by-step procedure . To learn more about database synchronization, see the SQL Server Books Online articles Synchronizing Analysis Services Databases and How to: Synchronize an Analysis Services Database .
