section where the text does not move, and an ending section You may want to refer back to the section on special effects if you need a bit of review about how those features work You should have little trouble adding titles to your movies at this point The one new item that may confuse you slightly at first is the Position box This box works along with the Start, Hold, and Finish tabs to control the motion of the titles Each of the nine squares in the Position box shows the motion of the title at the start of the current section In Figure 15-7, there is an arrow pointing into the box from the bottom center, and this indicates that the title will scroll up from the bottom at the start The center square always holds an hourglass to indicate that the title will hold in the center of the screen (you would use this most often in conjunction with the Hold tab) Adding Sound
As you are already aware, the video files that you capture from your camcorder generally include an audio track that is synchronized with the video But even so, there are many times when you might want to add some additional audio components, such as background music or sound effects To do so in Roxio VideoWave Power Edition, you use the Audio Studio tools In most ways, adding extra sound tracks to your movies is very similar to adding special effects or titles This shows the lower-right section of the Roxio VideoWave Power Edition window as it appears when the Audio Studio tools are open: You can use the Add Files button to add audio files to the library (on the Audio tab) If you add MP3 files, Roxio VideoWave Power Edition will automatically convert them into Wave files for use in your movies You drag-and-drop the audio files into the Audio Tracks box in the Audio Studio tools section of the Roxio VideoWave Power Edition window Once you have your audio tracks in place you have the following options (these options apply to the currently selected track in the Audio Tracks box): Select Fade In or Fade Out to make the track slowly increase or decrease in volume Select Repeat to make the audio track loop as the video track plays Create Your Own DVDs
Select Mix to include the track or deselect it to silence the audio track Use the Volume slider to set the volume level for the track For tracks other than the recorded audio track that is associated with the video clip, click the Clip button to set the in and out points for the audio track Be sure to click the Apply button before you click the Close button otherwise your selections will be discarded
