In order to edit your movie, you must first send the portion of the movie that you want to edit from Sonic MyDVD to ArcSoft ShowBiz The ArcSoft ShowBiz software has been integrated with MyDVD to allow you to move your projects efficiently from one application to the other You will know when you have switched between the two programs by the difference in the way they look Depending on what you would like to accomplish, you can send either a single video clip or all of the video clips in the movie to ArcSoft ShowBiz You might want to send a single clip if you feel that you need to concentrate on fixing up that one clip In most cases, however, you ll probably want to be able to edit the movie as a complete entity, so that you can apply changes that affect more than one clip at a time To send your movie to ArcSoft ShowBiz for editing, click Edit Video in Sonic MyDVD and choose Send Selected clip to edit a single video clip, or choose Send all clips in menu to edit a group of clips together The first of these options will be grayed out and unavailable if none of the clips is currently selected Regardless of which of the options you select, only video clips not slideshows will be sent to ArcSoft ShowBiz If you want to combine several clips into one movie, you can send them all to ArcSoft ShowBiz, and they will be turned into a single clip when they are returned to Sonic MyDVD However, because you are creating a brand new movie, any chapter points are not carried over Figure 10-4 shows how ArcSoft ShowBiz appears after you have sent a series of clips from Sonic MyDVD As you can see, this has a different look from Sonic MyDVD Let s take a closer look at some of the important areas of the ArcSoft ShowBiz screen that you ll be using: Near the upper-left of the ArcSoft ShowBiz screen are a series of buttons These serve the functions of the menus you see in most other programs In the center of the ArcSoft ShowBiz window is the viewer window where you can see the effects of your editing Just above the right edge of the viewer window are three buttons that enable you to control the size of the viewer window
