Implementing a Wireless Network
If the wireless network you wish to connect to doesn t appear in the list because SSID broadcasting is disabled, then you will choose the Set up a connection or network option and then choose Manually connect to a wireless network This will bring you to a dialog box where you can type the SSID name of the wireless network you want to connect to You can also specify whether the network is using WEP, WPA, or WPA2 You can also specify the key information here as well (shown in Figure 7-23) When troubleshooting why a client will not connect to wireless networks, there are a number of issues to consider The following is a list of popular problems when connecting to wireless:
n Interference
You could be getting interference from other home equipment, such as a cordless phone Try changing the channel on the Wireless network
