I Use the shape tools I Edit shapes I Create a custom shape I Use the pen tool Vector objects offer power and flexibility in the graphic arena They are editable, smooth graphics that scale flawlessly with your document If you want to create an image that will be used over and over again at many different sizes such as a logo you ll want to create the image using vector tools Photoshop offers two main types of vector tools the shape tools, which include basic shapes such as rectangles and ellipses, and the pen tool The pen tool enables you to create your own shapes The shapes you create with the pen tool can be as simple or elaborate as you like
Using the Shape Tools
