You can also click a Skip Button and continue to hold down the mouse button to repeatedly step the playhead If you PAUSE playback, the Playhead remains where it stops; if you STOP playback, the Playhead snaps back to the position where playback began
Controlling the Viewer
While the Viewer is loaded with a Track, you can exercise limited playback control with the button tools at the bottom of the screen The Viewer Controls include (see Fig 7-45)
Configuring Streams for Preview
You can select the stream combination you wish to Preview by using the Viewer Stream Select buttons, located along the left side of the Track Editor (see Fig 7-46) Each stream has a button that can be highlighted You can select one each from the available Video Streams, Audio Streams, and Subtitle Streams that you have authored into that Track The Selected Stream combination will play for the duration of the preview If you wish to experiment with switching Angles, Audio, or Subtitles, you will need to use the Simulator, as outlined in 14

How Angle Playback Works in Viewer
During Preview, the selected Angle will play when content is available in that Stream, but the Viewer will default down to a lower-numbered Angle (usually Angle 1) when content does NOT exist in the selected stream This is exactly the way the DVD will play, so it gives a good approximation of how the Angle content will look when the DVD is finished
How the Playhead Works

Click the Viewer Stream Select button in the Track Header to select the desired angle The selected Angle will now be readied for playback in Preview (See Fig 7-47)
The Playhead (inverted yellow triangle) is the visual indicator of where you are in the Timeline, whether playing or standing still When playing, the playhead moves along the timeline, indicating relative position within the Track In addition, the Cursor Time indicator will update, indicating the timecode position As a visual aid, there is a tiny playhead Icon that appears in the Timeline Scrollbar, to show where the playhead is with reference to the currently visible portion of the timeline If it is not visible within the Scrollbar, the playhead is either before or after the visible section of the timeline To Set the playhead location: Drag the Playhead (or click the Cursor) to the desired location on the Timeline, or Enter a timecode value in the playhead timecode field, adjacent to the View pop-up When setting the playhead, do so only in the timecoded portion of the Timeline clicking above the Timeline will create a Marker!
