Select in Menu: Project > Add to Project > Slideshow Click on the Add Slideshow button in the Toolbar (if visible) (see Fig 10-2b)

Click on the Add Slideshow Button at the bottom of the Menu Editor Window (if it is visible) Once you have created a new Slideshow item, it will appear inside of the Slideshows folder in the Outline Tab (see Fig 10-2c) Slideshows are numbered in the sequential order in which they are created, but can be easily renamed or resequenced at any time (see the section titled The Slideshow Inspector, later in this chapter)
TIP! At any time, pausing the cursor over any Slideshow in the Outline Tab and pausing there will display the tool tip, which indicates its current population In this case, Slideshow 1 is empty (see Fig 10-3)
To add assets into the Slideshow, double-click on the Slideshow entry in the Outline Tab to open the Slideshow Editor in its Tab You will also want access to the Asset Tab, the Palette, and/or the Finder Window, depending on where your slide images are located Also, open the Inspector You will use both the Slideshow Editor and the Inspector while creating Slideshows
Meet the Slideshow Editor
The Slideshow Editor (Fig 10-4) contains many powerful features that are now consolidated into a simple and concise control panel Along the top of the Slideshow Editor are the controls for: View: pop-up selects which slideshow to edit Transition: allows selection of a Transition effect (Transitions were added in DVD Studio Pro 3) Overall Audio well a drop bin for an overall soundtrack

Convert to Track tool converts this slideshow into a Track useful if you wish to add multiple audio tracks or other Trackspecific features (-based Cell commands, and similar) Duration: a pop-up/text field to enter slide duration

Audio the name of any individual audio file used to accompany this individual slide (if any) Time the beginning time of this slide in the Slideshow Duration the duration of this slide need we say more Pause a checkbox that sets an Infinite Pause for this slide
