Task 7-22. Adding a Stage-As User Account as a Member of the Resource Manager Rights Group
1. Launch the Site Manager, and log on as the site manager. 2. Select Start. 3. Select User Roles (Resource Managers). 4. Select Stage-As (In Resource Managers, User Roles); view Properties. 5. Select Modify in the Group Members tab of the Stage-As Properties dialog box. 6. Select the domain in the Modify Members Stage-As dialog box. 7. Select the Users group in the Modify Members Stage-As dialog box; select Members. 8. Select your account in the NT Group Members dialog box, and then verify your selection. 9. Save changes, and exit Site Stager. Assign channel access to the Stage-As Subscriber rights group to enable the staging of the channel.
Task 7-23. Assigning Stage-As Rights Group Access Channels
1. Launch the Site Manager, and log on as the site manager. 2. Select Start. 3. Select the Channels icon to display the channels hierarchy. 4. Expand Channels, expand the MCMS site, select the channel to stage, and view Properties. 5. Select the Rights tab, and choose Modify. 6. Edit Stage-As Rights in the Select User Rights for Channel dialog box: Select Subscribers, and Stage-As (rights group members). Add the rights group to the channel. 7. Save changes, exit Site Stager. Channel access must be granted for every channel to stage. Next a staging profile must be created.

Task 7-24. Creating a Staging Profile
1. Launch the Site Stager, and log on as the site manager. 2. Select Start. 3. Select Add in the Site Stager Administration dialog box. 4. Edit the staging profile properties: Name the staging profile. Select Active to enable automatic scheduling. Enter the [domain\user name] for the Stage-As account. Select the Users group from the Modify Members Stage-As dialog box; select Members. Enter a password. Enter the default, top-level page for the staged site. Enter the Destination directory or browse to select it. Enter the path of the program (Shell After Staging) to be run after staging. Enter a description for the profile. 5. Save changes, and exit Site Stager. After you have configured the staging profile, you can schedule the execution.
Task 7-25. Scheduling Automated Staging
1. Launch the Site Stager, and log on as the site manager. 2. Select the profile to run from the Site Stager Administration dialog box. 3. Edit the scheduling properties in the Schedule tab: Select the staging interval. Enter the Start Time. Set the schedule information for a selected interval. 4. Select Apply, verify the scheduler, and exit Site Stager.
