When you mark up a document with text, you can select text with the Text Edits tool, and tell other reviewers what you d like done with the text You can instruct reviewers to delete, change, or insert text in a document The Text Edits tool is a great way to mark up a document that was created from a word processing or page making application To use the Text Edit tool, follow these steps: 1 Select the Text Edits tool Acrobat displays the Indicating Text Edits dialog, which gives you instructions on the use of the tool Click OK to exit the dialog box and activate the Text Edits tool After you know how to use the Text Edits tool, you can prevent the Indicating Text Edits dialog box from appearing by clicking the Don t Show Again checkbox

You can attach any file to a document for use by another reviewer or colleague When you use the Attach File As A Comment tool to attach a file to a document, it becomes embedded in the document Reviewers will need software associated with the file installed on their computer to be able to view the file To attach a file to a document: 1 Choose Tools | Commenting | Attach File As A Comment Alternatively, you can select the Attach File As A Comment tool from the Commenting toolbar, if you have previously displayed the toolbar 2 Click the spot in the document where you want the File Attachment icon (a paperclip) to appear, and Acrobat opens the Add Attachment dialog box 3 Navigate to the file you want to attach and click Select, and Acrobat opens the File Attachment Properties dialog box:
4 In the Icon list of the Appearance tab, select the icon you want to appear in the document By default, the file attachment icon is a paper clip However, you can choose a different icon if you feel that it is a better representation of the type of document you want to attach For example, you may want to use the graph icon when attaching a spreadsheet 5 Click the Color button and select a color from the color picker or click the Other Color icon to choose a color from the system color picker 6 Enter a value in the Opacity field, or drag the slider to determine the opacity of the text box background The icon is totally opaque (nontransparent) at the default setting of 100 percent
