Pasting Cells
After you copy or cut a selection of cells to the clipboard, you can paste the cells within the table or in another part of the page draft to begin a new table To paste copied or cut cells from the clipboard, follow these steps:
1 Within the page draft, do one of the following:
Replace the content of adjacent cells that have the same layout as the cells you cut or copied Select a rectangular area that contains the same number of cells For example, if you copied or cut cells that comprise an area two cells wide and three cells high, select a group of adjacent cells that are two wide by three high Replace the content of a cell and its adjacent neighbors with copied or cut cells that are not entire rows or columns Select a cell If you attempt to paste an area of cells that is not comprised of an entire row or column into an area that does not contain enough cells, Contribute will display a warning to that effect Paste one or more rows above an existing row Select a cell within the row above which you want to paste the rows Paste one or more columns to the left of an existing column Select a cell within the column to the left of which you want to paste the columns Create a new table with copied or cut cells Place your cursor at the point in the document where you want the new table to appear If you attempt to paste copied or cut cells into an existing table cell, you may get an error message saying there are not enough cells to paste the clipboard If this occurs, you will need to create a new table within the cell to which you want to paste the contents
2 To paste the cut or copied cells, do one of the following:
