Inserting Images from Your Web Site
In addition to being able to insert images that are stored on your computer, you can also add images that are already stored in a folder at your Web server If you are editing multiple Web sites with Contribute, you can select an image from any Web page to which you have made a connection To add an image to a page draft from your Web site, follow these steps:
1 Place your cursor at the point where you want the image to appear in your
page draft
2 Choose Insert | Image or click the Image button on the toolbar 3 Choose From Website from the pop-up menu The Choose Image On
Website dialog box appears If you are editing more than one Web site with Contribute, a folder icon for each Web site appears The site s URL appears to the right of the folder If you have disabled a connection to a Web site, Contribute does not display the information for that Web site
4 Click the folder of the Web site that contains the image you want to insert,
then navigate to the folder in which the image is stored
5 Click the desired image to select it Contribute displays a thumbnail preview
of the image in the Preview window The URL for the image is displayed as well
6 Click OK to insert the image Contribute adds the image to the page draft
you are editing After you insert an image from your Web site to a page draft, you can modify the image properties within Contribute, or you can edit the image in an imageediting program

You can also insert images by dragging them from another application into the page draft you are editing A word of caution is in order here When you insert images in this manner, Contribute does not detect the image s file size and will not prevent you from inserting an image that is larger than the limit specified by your site administrator In this regard, it is always advisable to insert files that are stored in a folder on your computer However, if you are sure the image file size is reasonable (no more than 50K), you can insert the image into a page draft by doing the following:
