The main PowerPoint Viewer file is ppview32exe, but it requires several other files as well If you can t find Viewer on your hard disk, you can download the file from http:// officemicrosoftcom/downloads/2000/Ppview97aspx (It is not installed with PowerPoint 2002) PowerPoint Viewer is free and can be distributed with no license required For example, you can send it to a client along with a presentation With Viewer, you can view not only PowerPoint 2002 presentations, but also PowerPoint 95 through 2000 presentations It also works with presentations created on a Macintosh However, PowerPoint Viewer is essentially a 97 viewer updated for 2000 It does not support features that were new in PowerPoint 2000, such as picture bullets and automatic numbers, and does not display 2002 s new animation

To start PowerPoint Viewer, locate ppview32exe (if necessary, choose Start | Find) and doubleclick the file to start Viewer, shown in Figure 15-3 Although PowerPoint Viewer doesn t offer as many controls as PowerPoint, you can click Options to open the Options dialog box shown here
