Choose the Right Tracing Options
When the Live Trace tool traces your images, it uses the contrast and/or color data in the file to build the paths and lay down the anchor points of the vector-based version You can control the parameters of the trace through the Tracing Options dialog box, which can be opened by selecting Object | Live Trace | Tracing Options or by choosing Tracing Options from the Tracing preset and options menu button next to the Live Trace button on the Control panel
