Part 2: Using an ABAP Query
Once an ABAP query has been created, the system users can make use of it through these steps: 1 Selecting the user group 2 Selecting and running the query 3 Using the query

Step 1: Selecting the User Group
To run an ABAP query, use the menu path System, Services, ABAP Query Alternatively, use the transaction code [SQ00] that displays Figure 5-101 You may be faced with a list of queries that belong to a different user group You can see the user group onscreen If the wrong user group is displayed, you can change it by going to Edit, Other user group Select the user group you require and the queries for this user group will be displayed
Step 2: Selecting the Query
You can select the query by using the Select box on the far left of the screen or by typing the query name in the Query field Press the Execute button to execute the query The query selection screen is displayed in Figure 5-102 The fields you selected when creating the query are displayed here along

Step 3: Using the Query
Once you have executed the query, you can Print it (select List, Print from the menu, or press ( )) Convert it to a spreadsheet (select List, Spreadsheet from the menu) Use it in a mail merge (select List, Word processing from the menu) Save it to a file (select List, File store from the menu, or press ( )) You can also transfer the query into the SAP ABAP list format Select Edit, Interactive list from the menu or press (Insert list icon here) The query is displayed as a list The user can use the SAP standard Settings menu available in many ABAP lists within the system to change the column settings
