One of the best ways to view advanced information about the hardware installed on your PC is to use Device Manager As you can see in Figure 2-1, Device Manager is available from the Tasks pane To open Device Manager: 1 Click Start, and click Control Panel 2 Select System And Maintenance If you re in Classic View, select System 3 Select System 4 In the Tasks pane, select Device Manager 5 In Device Manager, click View, and then click Devices By Type 6 Expand any item in the list by clicking the plus sign (+) to see the installed components Double-click any component to get more information about it Figure 2-3 shows an example
