There are eleven pages in the Virtual Trainer application It must be said that this style of having lots of pages is very out of fashion right now A more current approach would be to have a single-page application using Ajax This is certainly possible and very easy to do with JSF 20, but because we haven t addressed Ajax yet, we ll stick with the Web 10 style of application design For more on Ajax, please see 12 The complete traversal of the application we will follow in this section is shown in Figure 10-1 Any attempt to access any of the pages in the Virtual Trainer application when not already logged in will cause the login page to be shown This is shown in Figure 10-2 Assuming this is your first time to the Virtual Trainer site, you ll click Register to establish a new account for yourself This will bring you to the registration page for new accounts Figure 10-3 shows a properly filled-out registration form for a new account After you complete the registration and click Register (and assuming no validation errors have occurred), you are automatically logged in to the application with your new account After entering the credentials, you ll then see the main page (shown later in Figure 10-6), where you can choose which of the available events to train for by clicking the checkbox next to those events and clicking the Update Event Subscriptions button
