PARTIII PART PART
Quick Response Code Maker In Visual C#.NET
Using Barcode drawer for .NET framework Control to generate, create QR-Code image in Visual Studio .NET applications.
Making QR Code In .NET Framework
Using Barcode encoder for ASP.NET Control to generate, create Denso QR Bar Code image in ASP.NET applications.
This property is either a literal string or a ResourceBundle property key enclosed in curly braces The message can be optionally overridden at the site of the constraint declaration, like this usage on UserBean:
QR Code 2d Barcode Encoder In Visual Studio .NET
Using Barcode creation for Visual Studio .NET Control to generate, create Quick Response Code image in VS .NET applications.
QR Code Generator In Visual Basic .NET
Using Barcode maker for VS .NET Control to generate, create QR Code image in .NET applications.
@Email(message="Silly user, your email is invalid") private String email;
USS Code 39 Drawer In Java
Using Barcode encoder for Java Control to generate, create Code 39 image in Java applications.
Making GS1 DataBar-14 In Java
Using Barcode generation for Java Control to generate, create GS1 DataBar Stacked image in Java applications.
If the value of the message is not a literal string, then the ValidationMessages ResourceBundle, in the default Java package, is consulted for a key If there is a value for that key, it is used as the localized value for the message In the validateBean online example, this file is stored at ch08/validateBean/src/main/java/ValidationMessages_enproperties and contains the entry
Paint Data Matrix 2d Barcode In Java
Using Barcode encoder for Java Control to generate, create ECC200 image in Java applications.
Barcode Creation In Java
Using Barcode creation for Java Control to generate, create barcode image in Java applications.
validatoremail=Invalid email address
Encode Bookland EAN In Java
Using Barcode generator for Java Control to generate, create ISBN - 13 image in Java applications.
Data Matrix Decoder In C#
Using Barcode recognizer for Visual Studio .NET Control to read, scan read, scan image in Visual Studio .NET applications.
It is not possible to customize the location or name of the ValidationMessages properties file It must be named ValidationMessages, and it must reside in the root (or default) Java package Finally, it is possible to interpolate properties from the constraint declaration within the validation message Let s expand our Email constraint definition to have a property for the e-mail domain that must be used The new declaration simply adds this property to the annotation:
Recognizing Code 39 In VB.NET
Using Barcode recognizer for .NET framework Control to read, scan read, scan image in .NET applications.
Drawing Bar Code In Java
Using Barcode printer for BIRT reports Control to generate, create bar code image in Eclipse BIRT applications.
String domain;
2D Barcode Printer In Visual Basic .NET
Using Barcode generation for .NET framework Control to generate, create 2D Barcode image in VS .NET applications.
Draw Barcode In Visual Basic .NET
Using Barcode generator for Visual Studio .NET Control to generate, create bar code image in .NET framework applications.
And the constraint declaration looks like this:
Bar Code Drawer In None
Using Barcode creator for Office Excel Control to generate, create bar code image in Excel applications.
Drawing Bar Code In .NET Framework
Using Barcode creation for Reporting Service Control to generate, create bar code image in Reporting Service applications.
@Email(domain="org") private String email;
The entry in the ValidationMessages_enproperties file is shown next:
validatoremail=Invalid email address Must end in {domain}
Now that you ve learned the details of conversion and validation, and how to use bean validation in JSF, let s examine in depth the Faces Event system in the next chapter

CHAPTER
The JSF Event Model
avaServer Faces differs from most other Web development technologies in that it provides an event-based programming model that is similar to the one used in traditional, thick-client development with Swing or AWT This enables a much finer degree of control when dealing with complex user interfaces and is well suited for use by traditional client developers Web developers who may not be fully familiar with this type of event model, which is considerably different than basic HTTP request event (GET/POST) processing, will soon appreciate the level of granularity provided by the Faces event model when dealing with more complex user interfaces
A High-Level Overview of the JSF Event Model
Before the advent of sophisticated user interfaces, programs tended to execute in a serial fashion That is, they would start, process data, and exit When human input was required, the program would prompt the user, using a phrase such as Enter your name: and then wait until the data was entered This simple question/answer mechanism constituted programming s first widely deployed user interface paradigm Although conceptually simple, the effectiveness of this approach was inherently limited As program/user interactions became more complex, a better approach was needed This need gave rise to the graphical user interface (GUI) The GUI offers a substantially more sophisticated system that is based on user-initiated changes to the various interface elements To manage these interactions, the event/listener model was devised There are two concepts in this model: events and listeners Each kind of event is an abstraction that answers the questions what happened and to whom The listener instances are provided by the application and answer the question what is the application going to do about the occurrence of this event The programming model for event/listener frameworks works like this The framework describes a set of events, each with its own specific meaning regarding the state of the application For example, an event is generated when the value of a field is changed or when a button is clicked You program an event/listener framework by understanding the set of available events and deciding which ones are of interest to your specific application For the events of interest, you register one or more listeners, effectively telling the framework, If this event happens, call me back at this listener implementation The listener implementations are where you put your application-specific code
