Creating a New Training Event Workout Plan
The Create Training Event Plan page, as shown in Figure 9-4, allows you to create a workout training plan for a new, upcoming athletic event First, fill in the event name, type, date, and your respective athletic level Then choose from a list of online human trainer advisors who will be monitoring your progress as you train for the event Once you ve finished filling out the form on the Create Training Event Plan page, click Create Event Virtual Trainer then generates a set of workout sessions based on your age and skill level to help you prepare for the event At this point, you ll begin your workout routine based on the workout sessions assigned for the event As you perform your workouts, you ll return to the application to log your progress as each workout session is completed In order to get a better feel for dealing with larger sets of training events without having to enter all the information manually, the downloadable version of the Virtual Trainer application provides a guest account that allows anyone to log in and work with preloaded training events and individual workout sessions After logging out and logging back in using the guest account, you ll see a preloaded set of training events on the main page, shown in Figure 9-5 Using the scroller at the bottom of the table of training events, you can page (or scroll) through the different pages of training event data
