Your Linux distribution installed the GRUB bootloader by default when it was installed You want to use LILO instead How can you overwrite GRUB with LILO You want to configure your LILO menu to allow the user 15 seconds to select a menu item before loading the default menu selection What parameter should you use in /etc/liloconf and what value should you set it to You ve just made several changes to your /etc/liloconf file However, when you reboot, the changes haven t been applied Why is this happening First, create and configure your /etc/liloconf file Then enter lilo at the shell prompt You need to modify the timeout parameter and set it to a value of 150
After making changes to the /etc/liloconf file, you need to re-install LILO by entering lilo at the shell prompt
