Rollovers
Rollovers are a common sight on the Web A rollover is typically a button on the web page that reacts whenever the mouse hovers over it The reaction is usually a visual effect, changing colors or font face The effect is similar to the a:hover code from earlier in the text In this practice, you will create several buttons in two different colors, red and blue, for example You will display the red image when the page loads Whenever the user hovers over the red button, it will turn blue Whenever the mouse leaves the button, it will revert to red The images will be used to create a menu system for a web site Instead of creating multiple pages, your <a href> will point to # This will make the links think that they are working A JavaScript function called changePic will handle the rollover ChangePic will accept two parameters The first is the id of the <img> you wish to change The second parameter is the path to the new image The JavaScript will change the src property of the <img>
