Sharing on the Web
SharePoint Team Services is new with Office 2003 and provides a means to collaborate among multiple users over the Web From Access, you can use the SharePoint Team to link tables to, import tables from, and export tables to web site lists The SharePoint Services web site uses Windows NET Server 2003 with Internet Information Services (IIS) as the web server All user data, web data, and application information is stored in Microsoft SQL Server databases
The Service Options button opens a dialog box where you can choose to participate
in customer feedback, look for material on Office Online, or join a Shared Workspace
The Use four-digit year formatting applies the format to the current database or to all
databases, even if the Format property of the field or control is set to show a two-digit year
The Name AutoCorrect group helps Access propagate name changes to objects that
refer to the renamed object The group offers three options that help fix common side effects that occur when you make changes in an object via a user interface Access stores an identifier for each object and tracks naming information When Access notices an object has been changed since the last Name AutoCorrect, it runs it again for all items in that object For example, if you added a text box to a form that s bound to the Alpha Card table and you change the Alpha Card table name to Alpha Card Plus, Access can track down all the items from the original Alpha Card and change their names to match the new table name The three options you can check for Name AutoCorrect are as follows:
Track name AutoCorrect info stores information it needs to correct naming errors,
but doesn t immediately correct them You can also look at object dependencies, so you re aware of potential renaming problems Keeping this option checked is a good idea
