If you want to try these examples, you will need SQL Server Analysis Services 2008 or 2008 R2, and the Adventure Works DW 2008 multidimensional database (available from wwwcodeplexcom), which contains the data mining models used in the following queries You should also be able to adapt many of the queries to work with SQL Server Analysis Services 2005 and the Adventure Works DW multidimensional database (also available from wwwcodeplexcom) You will also need SQL Server itself, if you opt for the linked server approach, in order to run the SQL that contains the DMX One of the examples references a SQL Server view (vTargetMail) for that example to work, whether as stand-alone or embedded DMX, you will need either the AdventureWorksDW2008 or the AdventureWorksDW sample SQL Server database)
