The Web Service Definition Language (WSDL) is an XML standard for businesses and individuals to access available services that each provide. The WSDL XML documents include a set of definitions. These definitions describe network services as a set of endpoints operating on messages containing either document or procedureoriented information. These elements are described and bound to network protocols and message formats to define an endpoint. More specifically, an endpoint is a WSDL port that represents the contact point of the service. This endpoint consists of the protocol and location information.

The Universal Description, Discovery, and Integration (UDDI) specification is an XML-based registry that is used by businesses to make their services and general business descriptions available through the Internet. UDDI can communicate via CORBA, SOAP, or the Java RMI protocols. UDDI makes use of WSDL in describing interfaces to web services. As such, the UDDI specification includes a set of WSDL definitions for modifying and searching its registry, and the registry itself includes the web service s metadata and a pointer to the WSDL service description.

Using Barcode decoder for VS .NET Control to read, scan read, scan image in .NET framework applications.
The Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP) and the JavaMail API are often used together to provide e-mailing solutions. An example of a secure way to send email from a web application is to have a user fill out a contact form, have that data moved into the business logic upon a submit button, then use the JavaMail API to send the e-mail to the desired recipient by connecting and sending the e-mail from an SMTP server. Let s explore the SMTP and JavaMail technologies a little closer.

EAN / UCC - 14 Generator In VS .NET
Using Barcode creator for Visual Studio .NET Control to generate, create EAN128 image in .NET framework applications.
Linear 1D Barcode Generation In VS .NET
Using Barcode creator for ASP.NET Control to generate, create 1D Barcode image in ASP.NET applications.
The Simple Mail Transfer Protocol is exactly what its name describes: a protocol for sending mail. More specifically, SMTP is an Internet standard used for e-mail transmission over Internet Protocol (IP) networks with the main objective of transferring that mail reliably and efficiently. The SMTP server and protocol work well with Java since the JavaMail API was designed to connect to the SMTP server

to transfer its mail. Take a look at Figure 12-3 to see how the SMTP server falls into system architecture. A quick way to test the connection to your SMTP server is with the telnet utility.Type telnet <mailserver.com> 25 where mailserver.com is the name of your SMTP mail server. Note that the standard SMTP port is 25. A positive response may include the following Connected to mailserver.com While telnet is a commonly used utility, it is not part of the Java toolset and isn t available on all operating systems by default. If the tool is not resident on your system, you may have to download it off the Internet.
The JavaMail API
The JavaMail API is a standardized framework that provides electronic mail functionality. The JavaMail API is available in the javax.mail package and is part of the Java EE platform. Figure 12-4 shows commonly used JavaMail API classes from the JavaMail API package.

Understanding Server-Side Technologies
The Java Mail API is also available for download outside of the Java EE platform, for direct integration into Java SE. JavaMail has an application interface as well as a service provider interface. The application interface allows you to create code to send e-mail messages to specified recipients with subject and body content and a specified sender address. The service provider interface allows the user to specify the service that will be used, such as SMTP. The JavaMail API supports various protocols and standards such as the discussed SMTP protocol, the POP and IMAP protocols, and the MIME standard.
