How to convert UPC code to barcode in Excel?

Note: the following tutorial is for old version of Excel Barcode Add-in (Version 10) only.
  1. Open an existing Excel documen to insert UPC-A barcodes.

  2. Go to Excel app toolbar Add-ins, click button Create Barcode from commands group "OnBarcode". Now you can find the Barcode Settings pane open on the right side of the Excel document.

  3. In Excel sheet, select cell C4, then change Barcode Type to UPC-A, and click button Generate to insert a UPC-A barcode on the selected cell.


    You can find a new UPC-A barcode printed on the selected cell "C4".

  4. Here we will adjust the UPC barcode image width and height.

    Resize the the UPC-A barcode to the same width and height as cell "C4".

    Click the image again to make sure that the barcode settings Image Width and Image Height have updated the adjusted image size.

    Click button Update. Now the resized UPC-A barcode has been printed on the cell "C4".

  5. Last step, we will link the UPC barcode data message to cell B4, and any numbers change on "B4", the UPC barcode will be re-generated by one click.

    Select the barcode image on "C4", click button Link To Cell


    Select the cell B4 which includes the UPC numbers, click button Update

  6. Now you will find tha the UPC barcode on "C4" is using the UPC numbers from cell "B4".
