for the PowerPivot table but you can t change the source database The source table is the Source Name property The column headers displayed can be from either the source itself or from PowerPivot this makes a lot of sense if you have renamed the columns in PowerPivot At the bottom right of the dialog, you can see when you last refreshed (synched or synchronized) the PowerPivot data from the source data If you have any filters on the table, clicking Clear Row Filters will remove all filters Note that this will not remove any sorts To remove sorts, use Clear Sort from the small drop-down in the column headers To change, add, or delete individual filters, you also use the small drop-down in the column hearers

By default, you are in Table Preview mode You can use the Switch To drop-down to toggle between Table Preview and Query Editor, provided you imported the table as a table rather than as a hand-crafted query If the source data is an SSAS cube, you only have Query Editor but there you can preview the table Query Editor shows the syntax (for example, a SQL or MDX Select statement) that retrieves the data for the table The Query Editor view has a Design button that results in a graphical query designer, from the Table Import Wizard, for your SQL or MDX If you are using SQL rather than MDX, you will need to click Edit as Text to enable the graphical designer Once in the graphical designer, you can use point-and-click and drag-and-drop to alter your initial table/query Both SQL and MDX graphical query design were covered earlier in this chapter if they are relevant to your needs, you may want to quickly refer back
