Do Not Estimate tells Quicken not to display an estimated amount. This is the default option. Estimated Amount enables you to enter an estimated amount. This is useful for expenses that are always approximately the same, such as a cable television bill which may vary slightly from month to month. Estimate From Last N Payments enables you to specify how many previous transactions Quicken should average to calculate an amount. This is a rolling average; Quicken s calculation will change every time the payment is made. If you select this option, be sure to enter the number of transactions Quicken should include for average calculation purposes. This is useful for bills that may vary from month to month on a trend, such as electricity or natural gas. Estimate From Last Year At This Time tells Quicken to estimate based on your payment to the same payee last year around the same time. This is useful for seasonal expenditures. Use Full Credit Card Balance tells Quicken to use the credit card account s balance when calculating a payment. This is especially useful for credit card accounts that must be paid in full when due, such as American Express. This option is available only if the transaction is to make a credit card payment.
