Via the context menu selection Cell Format | Background Color, you can access the pallet of colors to change the background of cells on an individual level.

The first of the following illustrations shows the completed background setup for the one cell. Notice in the bottom-left portion of the screen that the exact format that has been developed is now available for use. The Properties area will store any formatting done to the columns and rows so that it can be used in the future. In the next illustration, the format is being dragged from the Properties area to each cell in the left column. You simply click the particular format in the Properties area and drag that format onto the target cell. In this example, the entire column will have the same display format.
